FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (UATV) — The Fayetteville Public Library re-opened its doors to readers Tuesday following the completion of an $26.9 million expansion.
The expansion includes amenities such as an expansion to the children’s section, video and audio recording studios and a dance studio among others.
The building remained closed since last year due to expansion and renovation efforts.
Working with the city board of health, the library plans to the limit capacity to 200 people for the near future. Along with limiting capacity, those wanting to visit the building are being asked to enter and exit through the main entrance on Mountain Street.
The library will continue to offer curbside pick-up and virtual events for those wanting to remain socially distant.
Those looking to visit the library can do so from 9 A.M. until 8 P.M. Monday through Thursday, 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. Friday and Saturday and 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. on Sundays.
