FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- Several local, state and federal offices are in the running for votes in the election this year, and there are some important dates that are nearing.

October 5th was the deadline to register to vote, but early voting beings on the 19th.  Registered Arkansas voters can cast a ballot.

Local times and location for voting are still to be announced, but one early voting site that has been confirmed is Bud Walton Arena at the U of A.

University of Arkansas Associated student Government said on facebook, “The Election Commission approved Bud Walton Arena as an early Voting Center for the upcoming election… Special thanks to… EVERYONE who joined the fight to make this possible.”

The arena will be open to registered voters Thursday, October 22, through Saturday, October 24. Transit Parking Officials said there will be free parking during the three-day voting period for anyone without a parking pass. The lots that are available for parking will be released closer to the voting date. A list of additional voting locations can be found on washingtoncountyar.gov

For out-of-state voters, you can request an absentee ballot. The Washington country clerks office is offering curbside ballot drop off every Saturday in October.

Ballots can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 17, 24 and 31st at the Washington County Court House. You must request an Absentee Ballot by October 27th, and the ballot must be turned in to the county clerks office by the end of November 3rd.

For voting and turning in Ballots, be sure to have an I.D. and mask. November 3rd is Election Day.
