FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In this Wednesday edition of Hogs at Home we focus on the latest viral internet challenge and how you can be a part of it. With quarantine dragging on and no clearly-defined end in sight, perhaps it’s time to give it a shot.
On March 25, Getty Museum tweeted out to its followers a challenge. Use yourself, those you’re quarantined at home with, or household items to recreate your favorite works of art or sculpture. Whether it be a still-life painting or a portrait, the possibilities abound, and even those without art or costume skills can get involved. At a certain point, the more jury-rigged the setup, the better.
For inspiration, you can look up what others are doing with the hashtags #betweenartandquarantine and #gettymuseumchallenge, or by visiting the Getty Museum’s website page for the challenge at www.getty.edu/art
Despite having started a couple weeks ago, the challenge is still going strong and proves a solid way to occupy your time during the quarantine. Tune into Hogs at Home every Monday and Wednesday for new and exciting ways to keep busy while you flatten the curve.
