FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University’s fraternity, Fiji, is raising money this week for an event they are hosting that benefits their philanthropy. Carol of the Greeks will take place at the Fayetteville Town Center at 7 P.M.
Members will gather and compete in a dance and singing competition to win money for their chapter’s philanthropy. Judges will vote on the best performance.
Nick Condlak, a student at the UofA, stresses his favorite part about the event by looking at the bigger picture.
“I would say my favorite part of it is of course the dances are a lot of fun, but if you take a step back and look at it how everyone came together, different fraternities showing up, and different sororities, and it’s a competition but everyone is really there benefiting something greater than themselves,” said Condlak.
Donations will go towards sending kids with special needs to summer camps all over the country for a week.
The event has already sold 700 tickets in two days.
