Fayetteville, ARK. – Tight end Cheyenne O’Grady is no longer apart of the Arkansas Razorbacks football team.
After being suspended from the Mississippi State game, which Arkansas lost 54-24, O’Grady foreshadowed the move with a tweet Friday night.
“Beyond blessed to say I had the privilege and opportunity to be a Razorback. I was actually given the chance to live my dream and I will be forever thankful for it.”
Head Coach Chad Morris said the two met Sunday night, O’Grady and his family deciding it was best to “step away” from the program.
O’Grady was the lead receiver of the team, with 3 touchdowns and 373 yards this season. He also set the record for the most touchdowns by a tight end.
Saturday, The Razorbacks play their last home game against Western Kentucky. Kickoff is at 11 o’clock in the morning.
