Students to Host Fayetteville Mayor for Environmental Town Hall

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan will visit campus Wednesday to speak with students on the city’s sustainability efforts and policies.

A local chapter of Oakland, Calif.-based environmental group Net Impact organized the event alongside campus student authorities Residents Interhall Congress and Associated Student Government.

According to Amelia Holcomb, vice president of membership for Net Impact, the town hall is share feedback and advice about how Fayetteville and the university can save energy and reduce carbon footprint.

The discussion is open to all students inside Bell Engineering Center’s room 2286 at 6 in the evening. Chipotle will cater the event.
