FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — An Arkansas RSO raises money for water crisis victims in Rwanda. The Wells Project uses donations to bring clean water to the people affected over 8,000 miles away.

Members of the RSO encourage students to take part in the “10 Day Challenge.” The challenge is to cut back on tea, coffee, and soft drinks for 10 days and at the end of the period, the money that would have gone to those beverages can be donated to the Wells Project.

Donor Elise Lindsey said the project appealed to her because it can help people outside our community.

“The Wells Project is so great because you’re able to give back to communities outside the U.S.,” said Lindsey.

For Wells Project member Brooke Nunn, these efforts go deeper than to provide drinkable water.

“It’s part of our mission to spread the gospel, as well as get them clean water,” said Nunn.

Students can donate through the Venmo app with the username @wells-project.
