FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. — The Razorbacks faced a daunting opponent this weekend – 11th-ranked Auburn.
In their SEC home opener, the Razorbacks struggled to put up a fight against the Tigers as they lost 51-10. At the half, the score read 17-0, but that score didn’t hold long as the Tigers piled on the points in the second half.
Auburn quarterback Bo Nix was coming off a loss to Florida where he slumped, but Saturday he did not disappoint. Nix threw three touchdowns against the Hogs, including two that came in a span of just 22 seconds. Nix also showcased his running ability, as he scored a rushing touchdown as well.
Razorback kicker, Connor Limpert, hit a field goal in the third quarter to put the Hogs on the board but Auburn responded quickly.
Despite the score, tight end Cheyenne O’Grady had an admirable performance. He led the team in receiving yards with 72, and he scored the only touchdown of the game for the Hogs.
The Razorbacks are now preparing for Alabama on Saturday.
