FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A variety of employers from around the country is attending the Agricultural, Food, and Life Sciences Career Fair.
One U of A student attended the event in hopes to find an internship opportunity.
“We just come in here and get to meet people from different companies,” said Gabbye Guess, a Junior at the University of Arkansas. “Some people are local, and some people are from far out and based in different places, but it’s cool we get to come out here and put our names out there.”
Students are encouraged to attend the Career Fair to expand networks, practice bettering their skills of interviewing, and learn industry information.
“I think this is a huge deal. All of my professors have mentioned this, and I just think that getting to meet people and networking is the best thing you can do for yourself,” Guess said.
Reaching out to companies after attending the event is also encouraged among students who are interested in pursuing that career path.
