FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— A University of Arkansas will host a series of workshops to raise awareness about disabilities in the workplace.
On Tuesday, October 22 from 9-10:30 a.m., the Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance will host the Managing and Supporting Employees with Psychiatric Disabilities workshop.
On Wednesday 9-10:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. the OEOC hosts the Assistive Technology and Accommodations in the Workplace. Toya Williams from the Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance says that the OEOC has asked several Arkansas rehab companies to come and speak at this event. Williams said they will be bringing a variety of equipment that can help people with disabilities type, write, and even stand or sit.
Friday 1-3 p.m. will be the Fundamentals of Web Accessibility seminar.
All these events will be livestreamed for students who wish to attend but cannot.
