FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — As the UofA grows, the amount of scooters on campus continues to rise.
Of the 14,000 parking spots on campus, only 460 of those are for scooters and for the 2019-2020 school year 450 are already sold.
“A scooter permit may be used on any bike that is 50 cc or less. We don’t really refer to them as mopeds,” said Communications Director of Transit and Parking David Wilson.
For the scooters on campus, all of them are required to have a permit but does not allow them to park in car spaces, they have to park in the scooter lots. The cost of a scooter pass for this school year is $70.49.
