FAYETTEVILLE,Ark.— A sense of pride engulfed a model as she received a message from one of her photographers.
“I was extremely excited,” said Briana Meriweather, an alum of the University of Arkansas, and now a model. “I had no idea it would be there. I just had to drive there and see it myself.”
That’s what Meriweather did. She grabbed two of her friends and made the drive to Bentonville, where she was the forefront of a poster for NWA Fashion Week.
For the photograph, Meriweather modeled for the the designer, Samantha’s Garden, one of the many designing companies represented in NWA Fashion Week.
This year, Fashion Week ran from Oct. 3-5, at Drake Field in Fayetteville. It was the fourth time Meriweather has participated, as she started in 2016.
“I went to the tryout and just fell in love with it,” she said. “I’ve been doing it ever since.”
Meriweather is from West Helena, Arkansas says she is grateful that she got involved.
“NWA Fashion Week has brought me nothing but opportunities and greatness.”
