FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The latest additions to Kimpel Hall will see campus radio station KXUA claim a new home.
Construction on the building’s second floor began last week to accommodate the station.
KXUA joins the other five student media outlets that already consolidated workspaces in the fall of 2018. Currently its studio is based on the sixth floor of the student union.
Station Promotions Director Heath Anderson sees the move as an exciting relocation.
“I like that we’re going to be closer to the rest of the media outlets,” Anderson said. “I think we can partner with UATV and The Traveler more and just have more of a partnership with them.”
Anderson said the Kimpel headquarters will include two new studios, one each for music and production.
Completion is expected for the start of the spring 2020 semester.
