GAS PRICES TO RISE WITHIN NEXT FEW DAYS

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The missile attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia have left our country’s gas prices rising.

Although, some professors at the university don’t seem to be worried about it. According to Professor of Economics Jeff Cooperstein, “The gas price increase is not very significant. I would not expect a wide scale impact, but there might be some shifting of discretionary spending towards gasoline.”

Some students here on campus could reap some negative benefits. Freshman at the University, Julianne Martin said, “Being a college student, I am broke all of the time and having a car at the university is hard and having to keep up with the gas prices going up and literally having no money, it makes it hard to go back home when you’re broke.”

Gas prices are expected to level back out once the oil facilities are fully restored.
