FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas football returns to the hill Saturday as the Razorbacks play Portland State. Along with the sale of alcoholic beverages, the university is offering new experiences for fans.
Senior Associate Athletic Director of Public Relations Kevin Trainor said the U of A has worked hard in the offseason to expand the amenities that Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium offers fans. “The biggest thing for not just students, but fans in general, is WiFi,” said Trainor. “We have a happy hour promotion for fans that come in early, including students.”
The happy hour will feature food, non-alcoholic drinks, discounts at the Hog Heaven gift shop, games and more. The promotion will take place during the first hour after the gates open.
There are also new pre-game activities including the Hogtown street festival. Trainor tells UATV, “A lot of people like tailgating, but maybe you don’t have a specific tailgate. Well now we all have a tailgate.”
The Arkansas-Portland State game kicks off at 3:00 p.m. Gates will open four hours prior to the start of the game.
