Fayetteville, Ark.– Payton Chadwick tears it up on the track. When she’s not running, she finds time to cook and enjoy life.
Chadwick is a six time All-American and a National Champion for the Razorbacks, but she is trying to stir up success in a different kind of way off the track.
Chadwick lives a different life than most students. She’s an athlete, which means that she has to find a balance between her school, athletic and personal life.
This balance for her is her youtube cooking channel. It all started when she made a cooking post on her social media.
“So on my instagram, I started posting my food. Just the food that i was cooking and people kept asking ‘hey, how do you make this, how did you make that look so good, that looks healthy but it looks good also’. so, my husband was like ‘hey, let’s start a youtube channel and see if people like it,’” Chadwick said.
Her favorite thing to cook is a keto zucchini lasagna because in her words, it eliminates the so called “bad carbs” and doesn’t make you feel heavy afterwards.
Now Chadwick’s goal with this channel is to make it on the today show. She said that she used to watch it all the time as a kid and get ideas for new recipes.
“Now that I’m cooking and can see that I’m able to do that I think that I can possibly be on the show and cook something and show people that eating healthy is easy and it can taste good,” Chadwick said.
If she were to make it on the show she says that she would show off her cooking skills and also try to network for her youtube channel.
Hopefully soon Chadwick will be able to accomplish her dream as well as win another national championship for the outdoor season.
This weekend the track team is in town to compete Friday, May 3rd at John McDonnell Field for the Arkansas Twilight meet.
