Local Bar to Host Game of Thrones Watch Parties

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.–The award-winning series Game of Thrones returned to HBO on Sunday for its eighth and final season premiere. Fans gathered at Prairie Street Bar and Tap to watch the first episode.

The second most successful show in Emmy Award history, G.O.T seems to have a little bit of everything for everyone. Many locals are drawn to the shows unpredictable style and dynamic characters. Last season, the show had over ten million viewers, with millions more watching the show illegally on the internet.

“There is no episode of Game of Thrones you cannot like,” said Rahul Ramesh, a graduate of the UofA, “every season, every episode you fall in love with a new character that you like and that you want to survive in the end and they do not and that’s what makes this series so brilliant.”

With only five episodes remaining, Prairie Street Bar and Tap will host a watch party every Sunday at 8 p.m.
