FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.–In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Pat Walker Health Center invites advocates for women’s safety to march to “Take Back the Night.” Sarah Subtle attends the University of Arkansas. She says she feels safe during the daylight hours but night time is a different story.
“One time I was walking to Old Main around 10:00 and I did not feel safe over there just because of the lighting,” Subtle said.
The “Take Back the Night” march begins at 6:45 on Thursday, April 25 at the Fayetteville Square. Participants will march to Old Main on the University of Arkansas campus in support of women’s right to feel safe at any time of day.
