A Light Row Week for UAPD

By Wyatt Garrett

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Row Week is a time of partying and letting loose with friends, and is a stressful time for police officers on campus, but not this year.

Only two arrests were made on campus this year that correlated with Row Week. There were 10 arrests in 2018 around the weekend Row takes place.

One student was found publicly intoxicated, and another was a minor in possession of alcohol.

University of Arkansas Police Department Captain Gary Crain said the weekend was surprisingly quiet.

“It was a light load for us this year, as far as Row Weeks go,” said Crain.

Sororities on campus emphasize safety during Row Week, urging members to travel together and leave no one behind.
