FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas prepares to celebrate its 148th birthday this week.

To observe the event, the university will launch All in for Arkansas, the university’s fourth annual day of giving. Activities are planned for 1,871 minutes beginning Wednesday, April 3 at 6 a.m.

All in for Arkansas asks students to make donations to their favorite university project. Digital Fundraising Administrator Merin Macechko said these donations can make a huge difference to the success of the projects.

“It’s inspiring to see the UofA family come together and give back each year,” said Macechko. “When we each give what we can, it adds up in a big way. That’s the power of participation.”

Birthday sweets, a photo booth, and party favors will be included. Contestants will also face off to win $500 for the project of their choice.

Students can drop by the Birthday Bash Wednesday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Union Mall.

Activities end Thursday, April 4 at 1:11 p.m.
