FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.– The UofA Women’s basketball team has received the ability to continue their season in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT).
The Hogs started off the WNIT playing against the Houston Cougars. Mike Neighbors warned the media that this team was going to be no easy task for the Razorbacks and he was certainly correct.
The Razorbacks had to battle in every possession as the Cougars took the Hogs to their first overtime game since the 2016 season. Chelsea Dungee recorded 37 of the Razorbacks 88 points for the night. This is Dungee’s third game out of her last five contests that she has scored 30+ points.
The Razorbacks beat the Cougars and the UAB Blazers.
Everything seemed to go right for the Hogs as they steamrolled the Blazers in an emphatic 100-52 win.
The Razorbacks broke the school record for three-pointers made in a single game with 15. All 12 players that played for the Hogs scored and five different players score in double digits.
Arkansas now plays the TCU Horned Frogs at 7 p.m. this Thursday at Bud Walton Arena.
