It’s Raining, It’s Pouring but Allergies Are Not Snoring

By Sven Larson

Fayeteville, Ark.– It’s raining, it’s pouring and your allergies are probably not snoring. Springtime is here and allergies are starting to act up.

For some, allergies can be an easy fix by just going to a pharmacy or a store and buying regular allergy pills. However, for others sometimes it’s not that easy.

UofA Senior Emily Cook said, “It makes me feel nervous in a way. I haven’t found something that works for my allergies. Even over the counter allergy pills don’t always work for me.”

Allergies can affect your everyday life and make it much harder to have a regular day. It can change your routines or even sometimes your mood.

“Basically, during allergy season it makes it much harder to breathe,” UofA student Canon Poore said. “I’m asthmatic so I carry an inhaler in case of emergencies. I have fits of uncontrollable sneezing that happen randomly and have to combat it with several different medications.”

The UofA offers an allergy, immunization and travel clinic where you can get treatment and advice for your symptoms. They are open from 8:30 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
