Dungee Earns Spot on SEC All-Tournament Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark – The surprising SEC tournament run for the womens basketball team came to a disappointing end for the ladies on Sunday when they lost to Mississippi State Bulldogs 101-70.

Chelsea Dungee earned Southeastern Conference All-Tournament Team honors setting a record with 103 points in tourney play. Dungee is one of two to receive SEC all-tournament honors along with Shameka Christon who was selected twice in 2002 and 2003.

Dungee dropped 24 points in the title game but that simply wasn’t enough against a Mississippi State team that shot over 70 percent in the first half and over 60 percent in the second half.

The Razorbacks await word of a possible postseason selection with tournament brackets announced on Monday, March 18.
