FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A few industry veterans have made their way to Fayetteville for the Women in the Workforce Conference.

As a continuation of the UofA’s Women’s History Month celebration, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion strives to celebrate the achievements and roles women have played throughout American history. This conference under the motto “Purpose. Performance. Persuasion” provides females with an opportunity to enhance relevant workplace skills.

“I think that it is important that we have female representation in the workforce simply because women are often viewed as incompetent and unable to accomplish the same things as men,” said Tylachea Boyce, a senior University of Arkansas Public Health student. “It is important to have strong representation to break the barriers, stereotypes and biases against women.”

The conference will take place on Wednesday at Record in downtown Bentonville.
