FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Former first lady Laura Bush will speak this semester as part of the student-sponsored Distinguished Lecture Series.
Laura W. Bush advocates education and women’s rights, as well as many other rights. During her time as the first lady, she supported the growth of education in the United States and amongst America’s young people.
Bush holds the chair at the Woman’s Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute while continuing to work on global health care, policies, empowering young women and education reform. Bush also shows support for those who have served in the American military.
Mrs. Bush will speak at the Bud Walton Arena on April 18th.
