I play the character Lincoln. He lives with his brother Booth in this small apartment, living off the money Lincoln makes as an Abraham Lincoln impersonator in an arcade. The play is essentially about these two brothers trying to make sense of their world after their parents abandoned them at a young age. This leaves Lincoln not only in charge of himself but his little brother, as well. The play is written from the perspective of black men, how they live in a predominantly white society and how [society] views them. The play was originally a two-person show, but the show we will see in March will contain an ensemble who will help in the movement of the show. The ensemble will be assisting with dressing the characters. They will also help make some incidents that the characters describe come to life.
