The End of Net Neutrality

By: Hunter McEachern

WASHINGTON D.C. – Starting today, new federal regulations regarding the repeal of Net Neutrality are in effect.

The Net Neutrality regulations have been in place since 2015.

The purpose of Net Neutrality was to regulate internet service providers equally and to prevent them from favoring or preventing content.

Ending Net Neutrality would mean that internet service providers could administer additional costs in exchange for faster internet speeds.

This could ultimately change how people use the internet.

However, these new regulations will not likely begin immediately.
