FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Komen Ozark facility helps those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. This center assigns patients to navigators who help those who don’t have the proper insurance to cover treatment.
75% of the money raised by the Komen Ozark centers stays in the Northwest Arkansas area and is mostly used to help those travel to and from treatment appointments across the region. The facility constantly strives to raise more money year after year to help those in need.
Komen Ozark will hosts its annual Race For A Cure event on Saturday April 28, in Rogers, Arkansas at Pinnacle Hills. The organization encourages students to volunteer and raise money for this important cause.
