Immigration Conversation Comes to the Jones Center

SPRINGDALE, Ark.- Immigrants and Latinx people in Northwest Arkansas will have the opportunity to speak with candidates for various public offices for Arkansas.

Immigrant Conversations with Arkansas Candidates invites, “dozens of politicians from multiple parties” to engage with the immigrant community.

The discussion will cover topics from the Dream Act and DACA, plus the Trump Administration’s Travel Ban as well as “the plight of the Asian American Pacific Islander community.”

Arkansas Senator Joyce Elliot will serve as the keynote speaker for the event, which begins at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at the Jones Center in Springdale. The event is free and open to the public.
