Fayetteville School Superintendent on Paid Leave Amid Sexual Harassment Investigation

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fayetteville Public Schools Superintendent Matthew Wendt, is on paid leave following sexual harassment allegations against him, according to the school board’s legal council.

Wendt has denied the allegations made against him by a female employee of the district.

A statement released by Wendt’s attorney said, “Wendt has and will continue to cooperate in the District’s investigation.”

Associate Superintendent for Support Services Dr. John L. Colbert, will serve as acting superintendent.
