Peace Corps Partners with the University of Arkansas

By: Jarrett Hobbs
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Peace Corps is partnering with the University of Arkansas to provide a Peace Corps preparation program. The Peace Corps Prep certificate program prepares undergraduate students for leadership roles in an intercultural world.
The goal of the program is to improve students’ skills in foreign language, international culture, and leadership. Students who complete the program will gain hands-on experience and professional development.
Students who wish to join the Peace Corps after the prep program will have a competitive advantage. There are only 100 Peace Corps Prep partner schools in the nation. About 30 University of Arkansas alumni volunteer with the Peace Corps every year.
