FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Multiple organizations on campus are holding events on Wednesday, April 4, as a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Northwest Arkansas Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Council is asking all of the area to observe April 4 as, “A Day of Peace.”

At 10 a.m. in Mullins room 104 a live stream of, “A Day of Remembrance” will be showing. The event will be in Memphis, Tennessee. You will be able to see music, dances, and more.

To end the night the University of Arkansas will be joining churches and campuses across the country by ringing the bells of Old Main 39 times, one for each year of King’s life.
