FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The last county joined the rest of Arkansas’ counties in a lawsuit suing over 50 opioid manufacturers. The last to join the pack was Pulaski County.
The state has made the claim that the defendants concealed or misrepresented the harmful and addictive properties of the medications they sold.
As of 2016, in Arkansas, there were 169 deaths related to overdose according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
The lawsuit was originally filed on March 15.
