Fayetteville Set for First Black History Parade

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark – For the first time Fayetteville, Arkansas will host a Black History Month Parade. Set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 11:00 a.m. the parade will start at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. The parade’s path will be along Dickson St.
The parade was organized by Compassion Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas NAACP. The two groups hosted additional events for Black History Month including a celebration of the NAACP’s 109th anniversary and lectures at the Univerity of Arkansas and Crystal Bridges.
There will also be Black History showcase at Ozark Montessori Academy in Springdale the night of the parade.
