“They’ve taken care of me, they have it feel like it’s my home even though I wasn’t at my home and I was there for a couple of years,” said patient Addison Alford.

Alford is 11-years -old and was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was only eight years old.

She has been receiving treatment from Arkansas Children’s for the past two and a half years.

Once a year IHOP hands out free short stacks of pancakes, in hopes patrons will donate to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

Today’s event not only benefits addison but many other children and families who use children’s hospitals.

Alford’s mom is grateful for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s partnership with IHOP.

“We make numerous monthly trips to Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, there are weeks where we would go four times per week down and back,” she said.

All donations made to IHOP restaurants across Arkansas will benefit families within the state.
