Travis Diepenbrock was a typical young adult – always looking a deal on Dickson.

“A bunch of my friends and I were looking through specials and we were going from website to website, trying to figure out what the drink specials were and we realized this is not a convenient way of doing it,” he said.

He said he and his friends would often try to memorize these specials. They even started writing them in notes on their phones.

“As we were thinking through it I was like ‘man how cool would it be if we had them all in one spot in an app,’ and so what I did was I went ahead and created that.”

All you have to do is download the app, choose the University of Arkansas, and pick which day of the week you want to see the specials.

Diepenbrock said the app has been used over 4,000 times in the first month and people are responding in a positive way.

One student at the U of A says he plans his nights out around the specials.

“Any time I go out, we try to look at it and try to plan the night ahead. That way we can have fun, but be smart with our money,” he said.

The app’s creator says bar owners have their own “thirsty” log in. They can create and edit specials whenever they want.

He says he has exciting plans for the app to grow in the future.

“Plans are to expand it to every school in the SEC, and then hopefully every conference, and hopefully not just schools.”

Because it’s close, Mizzou will be the next SEC school with drink specials on the app.
