A small, private plane crashed on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.  It went down around 9:45 this morning.  According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, it was traveling from Bentonville to Waco, Texas.  The plane experienced oil pressure problems and had to take a emergency landing.

The pilot deployed the emergency parachute and the plane crashed on MLK Blvd. around Stadium Drive.  Three people were on board.  One passenger was transported to Central EMS with what Fayetteville Police are saying that it looks non-life threatening injuries.  When the plane was coming down, it clipped a truck.  The driver is in the hospital.

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is completely closed in this area.

According to U of A Parking and Transit, no bus stops are closed at this time.  Route 56 is the only route facing delays.
