UATV Wins Award in St. Louis

Two University of Arkansas alums and one undergrad took a trip to St. Louis over the weekend to accept an award for UATV.  It was the 39th annual 2015 Mid-America Emmy Television Awards.  The two graduates, Sarah Brown and Tevin Wooten, and student, Reagan Barton, covered the Vilonia tornado last year. The newscast was called “Tornadoes Devastate Central Arkansas.” The coverage won a National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Mid-America Regional Student Television Award for best student newscast. UATV was 1 of 22 students/school’s that received a winning award. This is the first time UATV has won this award.
