September is National Campus Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
STAR (Support, Training, Advocacy & Resources) Central hosted Hoops for Hope at the Union Mall today. Participants received a raffle ticket for each shot they made in the basket. Organizers say they hope to raise awareness and promote resources about dating violence and sexual abuse. If you would like to get involved or learn more about how to be proactive around campus, you can visit STAR Central’s offices located on the second floor of the Pat Walker Health Center.
RESPECT (Rape Education Services by Peers Encouraging Conscious Thought) is a program of STAR Central and sponsored Hoops for Hope. More information about RESPECT is available here.
