Members of the Crop, Soil and Environmental Science Club participated in a cleanup of Mullins Creek on the south side of campus this weekend to quantify the effects of tailgating on the water system. A shovel, student identification card and several wooden stakes were among the trash recovered. They are collecting this data for their research. This research will be presented at the annual American Society of Agronomy meeting. The club hosts cleanups across Northwest Arkansas and offers networking opportunities with field professionals. If you are interested in the Crop, Soil and Environmental Science Club, please email kar016@uark.edu for more info
