Mother of Boston’s ‘Baby Doe’ Arrested

It has been a little over 2 months since the body of a 4 year old girl was found on a beach in Boston Harbor. Since then, a rendered image of the baby, created by Forensic Scientist Christi Andrews, melted the hearts of millions of Americans. The once unidentifiable toddler became known to the nation as ‘Baby Doe.’

For months now, the image of ‘Baby Doe,’ has gone viral. Reaching at least 50 million Americans in just two months. But even with the best attempts of communities across America to bring justice to the young girl, there has been no answer from a parent or family member, no lead on a first or last name, until today.

The baby that has been known to the world as ‘Baby Doe,’ has been identified as Bella Bond. Authorities say they received a tip that lead them to Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood where Rachelle Bond (the baby’s mother) and Bond’s boyfriend, Michael McCarthy were arrested. They say that the state department of Children and Families were involved with Bella multiple times but the incidences were more than two years ago.

Boston authorities have scheduled a media briefing for 5p.m tonight.
