Slam Poetry with Denice Frohman Tonight

University Programs is hosting Slam Poet Denice Frohman tonight at 7 p.m. in the Anne Kittrell Art Gallery at the Arkansas Union.

Denice Frohman is the 2013 Women of the World Poetry Slam Champion.

Frohman is an award winning poet, lyricist, and educator. Her work mainly focuses on social change and challenging borders.

Her poem “Dear Straight People” went viral and currently has over 1.5 million views on YouTube.

Frohman has had work appear in the Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, and publications such as The Apiary, Narrative Northeast, Alight, and Jotas: An Anthology of Queer Latina Voices.

She has performed at hundreds of colleges, K-12 schools, community events, and a number of conferences around the country and is one half of the award-winning duo, Sister Outsider.
