Little Rock is set to be a part of Brad Paisley’s “Country Nation” after
the Arkansas Razorback football team faces off against the Toledo
Rockets at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, September 12.
The Razorbacks will host the Rockets, in the only Little Rock game of
the 2015 season. Toledo went 9-4 during the 2014 season, closing the
year with a 63 – 44 victory over Arkansas State in the GoDaddy Bowl.
The Rockets posted an average of 256 yards of rushing per game
last year placing the team at No. 13 in the nation in overall rushing.
Kick off in Little Rock is set for 3 p.m. and the game can be seen on
the SEC Network.
Following the gridiron match up, Paisley will take the stage outside
of War Memorial Stadium. Paisley will be joined by special guest The
Raging Idiots a comedy band featuring Bobby Bones from the nationally
broadcasted country radio show the Bobby Bones Show. Additional
information about the Little Rock show will be announced soon.
Paisley’s “Country Nation College Tour presented by Zaxby’s” will kick
off on September 6 at Virginia Tech then it will be making stops in
the former Southwest Conference with The University of Texas,
September 10 and Baylor University, September 11.
Paisley is not the only country music artist that will be performing
in coordination with Razorback football. Arkansas native and die-hard
Razorback fan Justin Moore will host a concert in Fayetteville on
Friday, October 23. The concert will take place at Baum East parking lot the day before the Razorbacks play the Auburn Tigers. Moore will perform with Jon Pardi and other special guest, including Fayetteville based country rock group Backroad Anthem. Moore is part of the College Town Throwdown series which, has multiple concerts scheduled prior to college football games. Moore will also preform on November 6, in Oxford, Mississippi. The Razorbacks go on the road November 7 to play SEC opponent Ole Miss.
