A new bill has been introduced to the Arkansas Senate after passing in the house.
HB 1313 allows superintendents to make up missed school days by adding at least one hour to the beginning or end of a day that school is in session.
These extra hours will be combined to make up a school day.
It also includes an emergency clause that gives schools more flexibility to make up canceled school days because of weather conditions.
