A new video from a terror group calls for attacks on malls in Canada, the UK and here in the US.
The threat comes from the Somalia based terror group Al-Shabaab.
This group killed more than 60 people in an attack on an upscale mall in Kenya in 2013.
In a new video Al-Ahabaab calls for attacks on western malls, including the Mall of America in Minnesota.
Homeland Security officials made it clear that this video is not a specific warning but encourages people who may be radicalized already living near these malls to take action.
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said there is no credible or specific evidence suggesting an attack on malls but, he did warn shoppers to be “particularly careful”.
