Police Warn Students About Car Break-Ins on Campus

Lot 40 on campus has been a target for thieves.

Two cars were broken into late Sunday night north of Hotz Hall.

Police believe these cars were targeted because their doors were left unlocked.

Students are warned to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.

The following tips can be used to protect your car from being the next target.

Make sure you check all doors and windows before leaving your car.

If you choose to leave your computer or phone in the car, make sure it and other valuables are put in the trunk.

When choosing a parking spot pick one that is well lit to help prevent theft.
