The City of Johnson is reinstating its recently fired police chief.
Last Monday Mayor Buddy Curry sent a letter to Vernon Sisemore telling him he had been fired.
City Council members deliberated for almost two hours last night before voting to overturn the decision and bring Sismore back.
The Chief says his firing stemmed from a disagreement over how to handle overtime and back pay for police officers.
