Last night, Miss New York was crowned at the new Miss America but, one Arkansan was also in the spotlight. Miss Arkansas, Ashton Campell from Hindsville, was named second runner up at the Miss America Pageant after showcasing her vocal talent. Miss New York took home more than the crown she earning $50,000 in scholarship money. First runner up, Miss Virginia received $25,000. Miss Arkansas didn’t leave empty handed as she was awarded $20,000 in scholarships.
