Gas prices have taken a turn for the better in recent weeks. US regular gasoline retail price fell to an average of $3.49 per gallon in August. That’s 12 cents below the average in July and 21 cents below the average in June. Here in Fayetteville, gas prices average $3.14. Prices are expected to continue to decrease over the next few weeks.
