Tornadoes Continue to Ravage the Southern US

The same storms that devastated Central Arkansas on Sunday hit Alabama, Mississippi and North Carolina last night causing widespread destruction. Towns such as Tuscaloosa, Athens, Tupelo and Kazoo City all were hit hard by this powerful storm, which as of last night, has now claimed 70 lives in its journey across the Southeast. In Athens, Alabama, officials say that the storms reduced a housing complex into rubble and destroyed a trailer park, killing 2. In Tuscaloosa, a member of the University of Alabama swim team was killed, and numerous other buildings were destroyed.
